Dallas Cowboys' Akin Ayodele Hosts Toy Drive at NorthPark Center to Benefit Children's Medical Center

DALLAS, TX (December 11, 2006) – Octagon Football and Dallas Cowboys linebacker Akin Ayodele have teamed with NorthPark Center and FedEx Ground to host the 1st annual Akin Ayodele Toy Drive, benefiting Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. 

Dallas Cowboy Akin Ayodele will lead the toy drive from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday, December 19 at NorthPark Center, located at 8687 N. Central Expressway in Dallas.  The signing will take place near Madewell, on the second level. Akin and Cowboys team mates will sign autographs in exchange for the donation of a new, unwrapped toy.  All proceeds, toys and any additional donations from the two-hour event will benefit the Children’s Medical Center.  One autograph per person, please.

FedEx Ground will be on hand to act as Santa’s sleigh, delivering the packages to the Center. 

Children’s Medical Center Dallas is one of the largest pediatric providers in the nation and is ranked one of the top 25 hospitals pediatric hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. A private, not-for-profit institution affiliated with UT Southwestern Medical Center, Children’s is the only academic healthcare facility in North Texas dedicated exclusively to the comprehensive care of children from birth to age 18.
