Back for its 14th year, the 2007 Orix Parade of Playhouses will again call NorthPark Center home, showcasing a selection of custom-made, walk-in children’s playhouses. Designed, built and donated by local builders and designers, the houses are on display to raise needed funds for Dallas CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).  Housed between Dillard’s and Macy’s, $4.00 raffle tickets (or 3 for $10.00) may be purchased for the opportunity to win one of these whimsical playhouses.

Finally, be sure to stop by the one-of-a-kind sculpture competition, Canstruction®. Combining design ingenuity with the fight to end hunger, architect and engineer led-teams compete to design giant sculptures made entirely from boxed and canned food. Allied with the Dallas Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, the various foodie designs will stretch from Dillard’s to Barneys New York. Following the competition, all food items will be donated to the North Texas Food Bank.
