Join NorthPark Center in celebrating 25 years of Dallas CASA's Parade of Playhouses! This beloved community tradition raises necessary funds for Dallas CASA to fulfill their mission of helping abused and neglected children find a safe and permanent home.
As many events have moved online due to the pandemic, the Parade looks a little different this year too. Three playhouses are on view now at NorthPark, and the rest can be seen online at the CASA website. The adorable custom playhouses are created and built by local architecture and construction firms, and they are all up for grabs! Toss your hat in the ring by purchasing raffle tickets here. With everyone spending so much time at home, who wouldn't want a fun new "home" to explore right in their own backyard? Raffle tickets are $5/each and $20/five.
You can also enter to win the Parade of Playhouses Luxury Package with the purchase of $500 in raffle tickets or an equal donation. The package includes a weekend use of a Cadillac, INFINITI, or Volvo plus dinner for two at Chamberlain's Steak and Chop House provided by Crest Cadillac, a Dallas Mavericks signed jersey by Kristaps Porziņģis, and $250 in NorthPark Gold.
Let's take a closer look at the playhouses on view at NorthPark!
Summer House by LRO Residential and Brian Easley Design
Designed, built and donated by LRO Residential and Brian Easley Design, Summer House is the perfectly pint-sized vacation home for your little one. Featuring such adult details as a metal roof, glass-paned windows, indoor lighting hung from beautiful ceiling beams, and a front door and copper flower boxes surrounding the exterior, the house will please adults as well as children!
SpaceX by Crest Cadillac, Crest INFINITI, and Crest Volvo
Built and donated by the 2020 Parade of Playhouses Presenting Sponsor, Crest Cadillac / Crest INFINITI / Crest Volvo, the SpaceX playhouse is inspired by the recent launch of the SpaceX rocket. This playhouse includes an out-of-this-world rock climbing wall that leads to an observation deck with a star-gazing telescope for your budding astronomer. The launch locker is equipped with interstellar space gear of NASA backpacks and astronaut helmets. Your tiny astronauts can travel from the locker room across a cushy lunar surface into their space capsule, then fire up their rocket controls to launch back to earth as the gaze out to the earth’s galaxy. SpaceX is ready to blast off!
Bolthouse by Dallas Mavericks and DPR Construction
Donated by the Dallas Mavericks and built by DPR Construction, this wondrous playhouse opens to reveal a mini arena complete with a pint-sized basketball goal post with protective padding and a tyke-sized locker room equipped with basketballs and sports gear. Decorated with Mavericks logos, the house will make your basketball player feel they’re in the big house on the team with ‘Lightning Bolt’ Luka!
Don't forget to purchase your raffle tickets today! The Parade of Playhouses ends July 26.
