One of the main takeaways from The LEGO Movie is that you don’t always have to live by the rules in order to be ‘awesome!’ Some of the best creations from the movie were built by ‘Master Builders’ who used their imaginations to create something extraordinary.
In the spirit of creativity, LEGO has partnered with Facebook for a new campaign that asks children around the world to create an imaginary character called a Kronkiwongi. Kronkiwongi does not come with instructions and is essentially anything that your child can imagine and build with their LEGO bricks. It could be an alien, a spaceship, a new type of animal – the sky is the limit! The idea is that endless imagination creates big ideas and that there are no limits to what a child can create.
If your child wants to participate in this campaign, a great way to get started is to visit the LEGO store at NorthPark Center and pick up a bucket of colorful LEGO bricks from the LEGO wall. Once they create their very own Kronkiwongi, they can work with mom or dad to upload their creation to the LEGO Facebook page. A series of videos will be released over the next few weeks to showcase some of the best Kronkiwongi creations from around the world.
